My 6-months old babies...Grow fast fellas! I am very excited to write this passage...It is finally time to showcase my trees to everyone who reads my blog... With reference to one of my previous posts, It is obvious that we had planted a large number of Melia Dubia (Malabar neem) saplings. Most of the saplings have exhibited good growth... But, a few have not grown out as good as the other saplings. According to my analysis, it is because of the soil profile and water distribution. Those saplings which were grown on land which possessed fine soil were far better compared to those grown on rocky soil. Melia dubia also exhibits good growth if supplied with sufficient amount of water. Whereas, fruit trees were provided with organic fertilisers like Jeevamirtham and Amirtha Karaisal ..

Believe it or not....The total cost of construction fell within a million rupees (10,00,000).  Various eco-friendly technologies were used in this process. To be honest, it was my dad who suggested these new ideas! A method known as "RAT TRAP" was utilised in arranging bricks so as to enhance the coolness within the interiors. To know more, google it! Cement flooring, double layered roof tiles are some of the specialities of the home.

Plantation of tree saplings @ Buddha woods

On January 29,2017, 1800 saplings were planted @ Buddha woods. The samplings were taken from Isha nursery,Madurai at an extremely meagre rate of rupees 7 per sapling. This scheme enabled us to cut down a lot of expenses....THANKS TO ISHA FOUNDATION.... I would actually recommend anyone to opt for Isha nurseries when it comes to planting trees at a very high scale. Saplings ranging from Melia Dubia to red sanders were planted.  But , the locals couldn't accept our usage of land. Most of our acquaintances suggested us not to plant such timber trees at a very high scale...But, we did it. We adopted drip irrigation to provide water to trees. This can not only save a lot of water, but also, reduces the pain of physical work to a great extent.
